This figure not only set a new record in the retail sales of Shanghai in a single month, but also ranked first in the retail scale of central cities in China.
At the same time, the cumulative sales of Shanghai World Expo licensed commodities have also set a new record for the sales of licensed commodities in China's large-scale international exhibition activities so far.
According to statistics, the cumulative sales of Shanghai World Expo licensed goods have exceeded 20 billion yuan, exceeding the target five months ahead of schedule. In May, the total sales of goods in Shanghai exceeded 300 billion yuan, a sharp increase of 26% over the same period last year. The commercial sales in the Expo Park alone exceeded 400 million yuan in one month.
Among all kinds of Expo licensed commodities, the most popular one is Haibao, which is worth 50 yuan, ranking first in the sales of licensed commodities. Expo passports, which are often sold out of stock, are also popular commodities.
This "Expo effect" also appears in the logistics and transportation. Data released by Shanghai Airport Group on the 10th showed that the three major transport production indicators of Shanghai Airport increased synchronously after the opening of the World Expo. In May, the passenger throughput increased by more than 20% over the same period last year, and the cargo throughput increased by nearly 50% over the same period last year.
